Lynda.com has signed professional photographers, authors and educators Scott Bourne and Derrick Story to create educational tutorials for Apple's Aperture software. The Web site said that the series will start production next month and will go on sale during the second quarter.
The first title will be "Aperture Essential Training," which will include movie-based tutorials that take a task-oriented approach to the application's core features. Topics covered will include importing images, shot selection, keywording, archiving, adjusting images, printing and more. Exercise files, as well as special plug-ins and Automator scripts, will accompany each title in the series.
Lynda.com will sell a DVD of the training titles for US$149.95. Subscriptions to the site's online training library start at $25 per month, which includes access to not only the Aperture series but also over 160 other titles.
