by , 4:55 PM EST, March 30th, 2006

DEVONtechnologies on Thursday released DEVONagent 2.0 and DEVONthink Professional 1.1. Both applications are Universal Binaries that run on Intel- or PowerPC-based Macs.

DEVONagent 2.0 was in Beta testing the past three months and was shown at Macworld Conference & Expo San Francisco in January, in addition to having a second Beta released last month. The software is billed as an "intelligent Internet research assistant" that lets users create topic maps out of their Web searches.

Upgrades from the previous version are US$19.95, while the full version is $49.95. Mac OS X v10.3.9 or v10.4 is required.

DEVONagent is also available as part of a $99.95 bundle that also includes DEVONthink Professional, the new version of which also offers several performance improvements, new scripts, updates to existing scripts and Automator workflows, and bug fixes.

DEVONthink Professional 1.1 is free for existing users and sells for $79.95 for the full version. It also requires Mac OS X v10.3.9 or v10.4.
