CEI Offers EnSight Lite Visualization Software

CEI Offers EnSight Lite Visualization Software

by , 12:55 PM EDT, May 2nd, 2006

CEI on Tuesday introduced EnSight Lite, a version of its visualization software aimed at small- and medium-sized companies as well as academic institutions and firms whose users don't need all the functionality of the full EnSight software. The application can handle a wide range of data types, including structured, unstructured, and mixed; 1D, 2D and 3D linear and quadratic elements; vertex- and element-based variables; and more.

EnSight Lite also offers features for global and part attributes, query, plotting, page layouts and reports, and animation. Its post-processing capabilities include clip planes, isosurfaces and vector plots, and it comes with such functionality as multiple viewports, the ability to activate parts and variables on an as-needed basis, a command language able to run scripts, macros and batch operations, an interactive variable calculator, and streamtrace animations.

CEI will ship EnSight Lite this summer, with pricing set at US$2,500 for a standalone commercial license and $625 for approved academic institutions.
