iSale 3.1 Works With New eBay Communication Standard, More

by , 1:35 PM EDT, May 17th, 2006

Equinux on Wednesday released version 3.1 of its eBay sales tool iSale, adding compatibility with eBay's new communication standard, which will go live on June 1. The developer also added the ability to relist unsold auctions, added watch and hit counts to the interface, improved the iSale Dashboard Widget with more information, and localized the eBay Style Preview in English, German, and French.

This is a free update for registered users. The full software is US$39.95, or $14.90 as an upgrade from previous versions. Mac OS X v10.3.9 is required. v10.4 is required for using the Dashboard Widget and other Tiger-only features.

Subject: Great! More to go wrong...

Instead of fixing the problems that have plagued this software, or spending time answering customer e-mails, they design a couple more features and call it a day. The relist and hit count is great, but iSale continues to offer precious little on other issues such as stores, templates, editing running auctions, etc. How much really went into ensuring compatibility with eBay's new comm standard? And would it really be that difficult for equinux to answer their e-mail?!
