Several software publishers issued point releases to some of their applications on Tuesday. Maintain updated its general-purpose utility Cocktail with various performance improvements and bug fixes. Sven E Olsson also issued a maintenance release for his XHTML editor SEEdit, as did ToThePoint Software with Type2Tracker 1.2.

SmileOnMyMac released TextExpander 1.4, an update to its tool for creating shortcuts for text strings and images that includes several feature improvements. INtex Publishing's Driver vX is a Universal Binary update for the car logbook utility that also includes a FileMaker 8.5 runtime, Google Maps integration, and other improvements.

Finally 24U Software released Universal Binary updates to its SimpleDialog and SimpleFile plug-ins, also enabling them to work with FileMaker 7.0, 8.0, and 8.5. Aimed at FileMaker Pro developers, SimpleDialog enables the display of progress bars and other dialog boxes, while SimpleFile enables the creation, deletion, copying, moving, renaming, reading, and editing of all files and folders directly from a database.
