Parallels has updated its Parallels Desktop for Mac software, which enables users to run Windows and other operating systems simultaneously on an Intel Mac, with support for Apple's recently released Mac Pro computers, as well as the company's upcoming "Leopard" OS X upgrade.
Other changes include fixes to Solaris guest OS performance, a better Parallels Tool package, full support for OpenBSD 3.8, and the G4U hard drive cloning tool now working in virtual machines. This update is free for all users and is a release candidate; the final version is due "in the next few weeks," according to the developer. Parallels Desktop for Mac sells for US$79.99.
