DV Expo to Offer Training Certification, More

by , 3:55 PM EDT, October 27th, 2006

Digital Video Expo, which will take place in Los Angeles from Nov. 12 to 17, on Friday announced its certification training workshops, which will include Apple and Avid representatives offering classes in Final Cut Pro, Motion, and Avid Media Composer. DV Expo said most of the classes will be two to three days, with the Apple sessions also offering a follow-up certification exam at an Apple Authorized Training Center.

The training certification kicks off Nov. 12, while the general conference sessions begin Nov. 14 and cover such subjects as: audio post workshop; business Webcasting; designing HD graphics; exploring 3D Motion graphics; Flash video; video podcast field production; and more.

Passes to the DV Expo exhibit hall are free for anyone who registers by Nov. 9 and US$75 after that. The first registration deadline for conference packages and training sessions has already passed, but there's another one Nov. 8, with attendees having to register on-site after that. Pricing starts at $325 for a one-day conference package.
