Garmin Announces Training Center for Mac OS X
by , 1:20 PM EST, December 29th, 2006
Customers using Mac OS X, Tiger, will now be able to download data from their Forerunner or Edge Fitness device to the Garmin Training Center software, Garmin announced on Friday. The announcement stated: "While using the software, fitness enthusiasts can create, analyze and store data from their fitness activities directly on their computer. The software also offers tools to record pace, speed, heart rate, and elevation based on time and distance. In addition, users can categorize the information based on the type of activity, such as walking, running, biking, or kayaking."
Garmin will distribute complimentary Training Center software CDs for Macintosh users at Macworld San Francisco starting January 8th. In late January, the free software will be available for download from Garmin's Website.

This e mail that I received from Garmin tech support is even less definite:
>>Thank you for contacting Garmin International!
Right now our GPS units and software will only work with Windows PC computers, however our engineers are working on developing support for Mac computers. We hope to have this support available in 2007. Here is a link to our latest press release about the Mac support release.
