Tulsa Apple Store On the Way

Apple's plans to expand its retail presence in 2007 are under way, and it looks like Oklahoma is on the list to benefit from the expansion. KSWO reports that Apple is building a new store in Tulsa's Woodland Hills Mall.

Apple has obtained work permits and the first floor mall space is boarded over, which is usually a good indication that construction is underway. The company also has job openings for the new store listed on its Web site.

The Tulsa location will mark Apple's second store in Oklahoma. The Penn Square location in Oklahoma City opened its doors in September 2005.

The Mac and iPod maker isn't talking about the Woodland Hills Mall store yet, so no official opening date has been announced.

Woodland Hills & Utica Square. Of the two Woodland Hills will have far higher traffic and is the logical choice. Looks like I will finally get to stand in line for a t-shirt.
