by , 12:00 AM EDT, April 5th, 2007

Jim Mitchell announced on Wednesday the release of YASU (Yet Another System Utility) version 2.0.6.

The update is recommended for all users and addresses the following issues:

  • A time-out to version checking if a user isn't online
  • Better validation for improperly entered registration information
  • Donate menu gets disabled once the application is registered

YASU 2.0

YASU was created with System Administrators in mind and is designed to do specific maintenance tasks quickly, such as clearing cache and logs, resetting launch services, and clearing swap files with just a few clicks.

Written using AppleScript Studio, YASU is a Universal Application and is designed for Mac OS X Tiger. (An earlier version is designed for Mac OS X 10.2 - 10.3) It is priced at US$3.50.
