nova media announced the immediate availability of its GlobeTrotter EXPRESS 7.2 Ready ExpressCard Modem for Apple's MacBook Pro on Tuesday. The GlobeTrotter works world-wide and supports high speed HSDPA and 3G UMTS data connections with transfer speeds up to 7.2 Mb/s as well as EDGE and GRPS connections in regions that don't support HSDPA or 3G UMTS. It also ships with nova media's launch2net mobile Internet connection application.

The GlobeTrotter EXPRESS 7.2 Ready ExpressCard Modem requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or higher. It is priced at €299 (about US$405.38).
