Logitech Introduces Wireless Wave Keyboard
by , 8:35 AM EDT, July 26th, 2007
Logitech introduced its new ergonomic Wave keyboard on Thursday. The company claims the Wave allows users to hold their hands in a more natural position while typing without having to relearn how to use a keyboard.

The Wave positions the keys in a U-shape, and varies the key height to accommodate finger lengths -- keys near shorter fingers sit higher, like A and Q; and keys near longer fingers, like K and D, are lower. The keyboard also includes a built-in padded wrist pad, and programmable hot keys.
The Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave should be available in late August. It will include a cordless laser mouse, and will be priced at US$89.99. The corded USB Wave Keyboard will be available in October for $49.99.

After years of arguably solid support, followed by a few years of waning support for the Mac OS, Logitech starts to have a clue again.
I've had a key/mouse combo of theirs for over 5 years. When I searched for a replacement, they didn't offer anything for Macs except for one specialty keyboard, which wasn't suitable. (Actually, I'd love Bluetooth, but that's another story.) I just don't understand why they wouldn't want to write a driver for the Mac OS and open up their market to another X% of the population. I can't imagine it would take that much to write drivers for all of their keyboards and mice.
The reason I was looking for a replacement was for my dual boot MacPro. I wanted 100% support in both environments (WinXP and MacOS). This offering looks like what I was looking for. The ergo design makes it even more attractive.

I hope the have a true Mac version as well. It's certainly a handsome keyboard. I love my Logitech S530, but I am sick of white.
BTW, was that your penultimate post gslusher?
If 'twere, this would be my last post, but (I hope!) it won't be, ergo, that wasn't my penultimate post. I probably won't know which post will be my penultimate.
