LinkOptimizer 2.5 Improves InDesign CS3 Support

by , 9:35 AM EDT, August 7th, 2007

Zevrix Solutions announced the immediate availability of LinkOptimizer 2.5 on Tuesday. The updated version of the image file size optimizer for Adobe InDesign added the ability to open the utility directly from InDesign CS3 menus.

Link Optimizer automatically reduces InDesign linked images that have an effective resolution that is higher than the target resolution. It uses Adobe Photoshop to automatically open, resize, crop, and scale images, and then reimports them into InDesign scaled to 100 percent.

Link Optimizer 2.5 is Universal Binary, allowing it to run natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs. The plug-in requires Mac OS X 10.4.2 or higher, and is compatible with InDesign CS, CS2, and CS3. It is priced at US$99.95, and available for download at the Zevrix Solutions Web site.
