Ecamm Network's iGlasses 2.0 Adds Zoom and Pan

by , 12:00 AM EDT, August 28th, 2007

Ecamm Network announced the immediate availability of iGlasses 2.0 on Monday. The new version adds digital zoom and pan control, precise control over the built-in iSight's brightness and color balance and more.

Version 2.0 also adds support for more cameras including Macally's IceCam and Ecamm Network's iMage Webcam.

iGlasses 2.0 Sample Enhancement

iGlasses is a plug-in that allows Mac users to easily adjust and manipulate camera settings from within popular video applications. Using the iGlasses exposure lock option, it's now possible to prevent unwanted automatic adjustments of color and brightness. "In many situations, the iSight's automatic brightness can be troublesome," explained Ecamm's Chief Engineer Ken Aspeslagh, "which is why many customers requested the ability to lock the auto-exposure for full manual control."

iGlasses supports more than 50 of the most popular Mac OS X video applications including iChat, Skype and Yahoo! Messenger. Newly supported applications in iGlasses 2.0 include Periscope, CoverScout, iSale, FireFox, iRecord and CamCamX.

Ecamm Network iGlasses 2 is a Universal Binary and requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later. There is a limited-time free trial version. It is priced at US$9.95.
