Mark/Space Unveils Missing Sync for Symbian

by , 8:15 AM EDT, September 20th, 2007

Mark/Space announced the newest addition to its Missing Sync product family, The Missing Sync for Symbian, on Thursday. The new version of the data synchronization application for the Mac will offer support for Symbian-based handheld devices from Motorola, Nokia, and Sony Ericsson.

The Missing Sync for Symbian will allow devices including the Motorola Z8, Sony Ericsson W990, Nokia N93i and N95, and more to exchange data with your Mac. It supports Address Book, iCal, iPhoto, iTunes, SOHO Organizer, Microsoft Entourage, and DRM-free QuickTime videos.

The Missing Sync for Symbian will be available in the first quarter of 2008, and will require Mac OS X 10.4 or later. It will be priced at US$39.95 as an electronic download, or $49.95 on CD.

Subject: Or you could use the free Nokia Multimedia Transfer

Or instead of waiting you could just use the free Nokia Multimedia Transfer app for OSX - http://europe.nokia.com/A4423134

It syncs pretty much all of the apps mentioned above I think, including converting DRM free video to the right format, music, photos. Plus most Symbian phones will sync with OSX via iSync to provide iCal and Address Book syncing.

Missing Sync would be useful for those using Entourage I guess, but otherwise you could get thos functions for free.

It will be good to finally, finally have one that really works globally...
