Boinx Software Releases iStopMotion 2

Boinx Software has released iStopMotion 2 after two years of development and public testing. The new version adds an improved workflow which avoids lost work, a virtual stage, realtime recording, HD support, and more.

In addition, iStopMotion now comes in three versions for different users. "The Home edition is for the family, where the parents want to spend a great weekend with their kids. The Express version is for the serious hobbyist animator, with all the great stuff appreciated by pro animators at a reasonable price. The Pro edition is for the animator who makes money with stop motion animation," Boinx said.


iStopMotion is stop motion software used for creating animated videos. Support for non-square pixels in DV is provided. Keyboard and voice commands are customizable. A list of supported cameras is listed at the Boinx Website.

iStopMotion 2 is a Universal Application and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later. It is immediately available and priced as follows: iStopMotion 2.0 Home for US$49, iStopMotion 2.0 Express for US$99 and iStopMotion 2.0 Pro is available for $499. Updates are $10 for Home version 1.1 owners.
