OWC Announces 4 GB Memory Kits for New MacBooks

OWC Announces 4 GB Memory Kits for New MacBooks

by , 5:00 PM EDT, November 1st, 2007

Other World Computing (OWC) announced on Thursday the immediate availability of 4 GB memory kits for the new 2.0 and 2.2 GHz MacBooks released on Thursday. The kits are priced at less than 1/5 the cost of the factory upgrades to 4 GB.

"OWC memory upgrades meet or exceed Apple's electrical and mechanical design requirements. OWC is an Apple Developer Connection Premiere Member and maintains an active state-of-the-art test lab to ensure the highest product quality and reliability. OWC Memory customers are ensured a lifetime of high-performance, reliable operation backed with OWC's Money Back Guarantee and Lifetime Advance Replacement Warranty, according to Eileen Millard of OWC.

The 4 GB Memory Upgrade Kits are immediately available with same day ashipping and priced at US$159.99 (configured as two 2GB Micron-based memory modules). Customers can save even more by taking advantage of OWC's trade-in program, which provides cash back for the trade-in of existing Apple factory memory modules.

OWC Memory kits of up to 4GB are also available for the full line of MacBook Pro 17-inch, MacBook Pro 15.4-inch and MacBook 13.3-inch models.

WOW! Considering it takes the same damned memory as the previous model, that's awesome. Congrats to them.
