Apple Integrates Humorous Ad with Web Pages

Apple Integrates Humorous Ad with Web Pages

by , 4:00 PM EST, November 26th, 2007

In a clever deomonstration of Web technology, Apple has been seen running a variation of its Get A Mac ad on Web pages that has John Hodgman interacting with your computer screen.

The PC, "John Hodgman," has a control box and is trying to light up a banner that says "Don't Give up On Vista." It doesn't work in a lighthearted way.

There have been some reports that the Flash ad crashes some PCs, and that has annoyed some observers.

John,

Past participle of "sit" is "sat". Your last sentence should read, "There have been some reports that the Flash ad crashes some PCs, and that hasn't sat well with some observers."

What a cool article. Thanks. Not only was it informative, there was a link to a video that showed me what the article was talking about. It's a little thing, I suppose, but I really like a well-thought article like this. Kudos!

You can actually view it on PC Magazine's webpage on Vista at http://www.pcmag.com/category2/0,2705,1786052,00.asp
