Ten One Design Launches Pogo Stylus for iPhone

Ten One Design Launches Pogo Stylus for iPhone

by , 2:15 PM EST, December 4th, 2007

Ten One Design, LLC has announced the launch of the Pogo Stylus, specifically designed for the iPhone and iPod touch. It is the first iPhone compatible stylus.

The Pogo Stylus sports an ultra-light aluminum body with a matte anodized finish and an advanced foam tip that is compatible with the multi-touch screen. This tip, with less surface area than a fingertip, gives the user greater accuracy when typing on the iPhone keyboard and navigating the user interface. Those users with larger fingers or long fingernails who find typing difficult will appreciate the greater accuracy the Pogo Stylus affords. In addition to eliminating typos and mistaken touches, the Pogo Stylus also keeps the screen free of smudges and grease, according to the company.

The Pogo Stylus includes a travel clip that fits the contour of the iPhone or iPod touch. It comes in three colors, black, gunmetal and silver. It is immediately available and priced at $24.95.

iPO spoke with Ten One Designs who noted that that ordinary wood or metal pens will not work with the iPhone touch screen, and while the Pogo Stylus, which can simulate a human finger's capacitance, may not seem useful at first, it could have wider applications than one might think. (For example, the elderly, some handicapped situations, laboratory use, when wearing gloves, etc.) An FAQ on the Website discusses the use of the Pogo Stylus and cites an e-mail for feedback or sugestions.
