by , 9:40 AM EST, December 18th, 2007
Chronos LC announced the immediate availability of iClipboard 1.0 on Tuesday. iClipboard is a clipboard manager for Mac OS X that offers an unlimited clipboard history that lets users paste clippings from more than just the most recent item copied.
The utility supports pasting clippings with a single mouse click, offers a user controllable clipping history based on a time period or the number of clippings, supports full previews of clippings, works with Leopard's Quick Look, lets users edit clippings, and more.
iClipboard 1.0 regularly costs US$29.99, but is priced at $19.99 through December 31. It is available for download at the Chronos Web site.
Observer Comments
i have demoing iClipboard 1.0.2. after 1.0.1. they both crash on start, so I would love to buy this, but not while it's unusable. So far, it is worth nothing.
Did any of you journalists trial it before writing this article? Have any of you hear of CuteClips? At least it works. And how many clipboards do you need?
Can you keep things in iClipboard? Anyone check that?
I bet you all just copied this from some press release Chronos sent in the ether. Prove me wrong.

As with most of Chronos products, when released, this product is not ready for daily usage. It crashes frequently and doesn't copy and paste from every application effectively. It crashes on me when trying to copy an image from my web browser and doesn't copy from Microsoft Word without destroying the text. I'm sure, that once they get it fixed, it will work as well as most other mature Chronos applications. However, I would wait if you're thinking to buy right now.
