Bare Bones Updates Super Get Info for Leopard

by , 12:50 PM EST, December 19th, 2007

Bare Bones Software announced on Wednesday that Super Get Info 1.3.1 has been updated for Leopard. The application is a file and folder information utility that expands on the basic Get Info facility of Mac OS X and adds editing capabilities.

"Using an easily navigated tabbed interface, or the 'sgi' command-line tool, Super Get Info allows the user to view and edit the Mac OS type and creator codes for a given file; view and edit the Unix owner, group, and permission settings for any file or folder, whether local or on an AppleShare server volume; and change a file's creation and modification dates," according to Bare Bones Software.

Super Get Info 1.3.1 is a Universal Application and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later. The update is free to registered users. SGI is priced at US$20.00.

$20 for that? As I was reading the description I was thinking "That sounds like it's worth paying $5 for," just assuming that it could possibly be more than that, or maybe even free.
