Life of a Desktop

The Mac OS X Desktop is a very personal thing that can represent a snapshot of a user's digital life. One Mac user at the advertising agency TBWA\Chiat\Day took those snapshots and strung them together -- 365 of them -- to show a year's worth of Desktop life. You can see the life of a Desktop at Sean Ohlenkamp's Web site, and it takes far less time to watch than it took to create.

How freakin' cool is that? A year in the life of a Mac user's desktop.

1. I think it's cool that Sean used Stickies to keep track of an ongoing list of projects. I do the same thing.
2. He seems to have a really funky habit of arranging folders in long strings.
3. Look at all those freakin' folders & files. At a glance, he appears to be a very busy guy (though might have too much time on his hands if he can take snapshots of his desktop every day! ).

Reminds me of that old Life thing that had cells live and die. Pretty cool. I don't have enough patience to keep it up.
