The "Canary Wireless' offering is the only device of its kind to provide smart signal analysis, including network ID, encryption status and channel data for 802.11 (b, g, and n) networks," the company said. The HS20 measures 2 x 3 x 0.5 inches (50 x 75 x 13 mm) and weights two ounces (57 grams). It uses standard AAA batteries.

The HS20 will be available online at canarywireless.com during the first quarter of 2008 and is priced at US$59.95.

Subject: why not bluetooth GPS capability???

it would be nice to get a tool like that if it could log and connect to a bluetooth gps in order to see where on my route there's open wifi hotspots...

Subject: LCD display?

I have owned a Canary Wireless HS10 (which I presume is the first generation) for some time and it has an LCD display.

Subject: Great device

Great device. Bigger display than the first generation and it detects N access point and accurate access point information. I recommend this device to anyone who needs internet connection while on the road or traveling. This will be a great gift for my son who will be going to college next fall.
