Atempo to Preview Live Backup App at Macworld

by , 8:50 AM EST, January 15th, 2008

Atempo will preview its new continuous data protection application, Live Backup, during this week’s Macworld Expo in San Francisco. The software automatically tracks modifications to files on any network-connected computer, whether it’s onsite or gaining access remotely.

Like Apple’s Time Machine solution, Live Backup works in the background, enabling users to recover accidentally-deleted files or get access to all of their data in the event of a hard drive crash. While Live Backup is currently available only for Windows users, Atempo said that it expects to have the Mac version available in spring 2008. Pricing and system requirements are not yet available.
