by , 9:45 AM EST, January 25th, 2008

GroupSmarts announced the immediate availability of MemoryMiner 1.8 on Friday. The updated version of the image tracking and linking application added the ability to browse Lightroom libraries, and can now upload images to Flickr.

MemoryMiner can scale images prior to uploading to a Flickr account, and can also add geotags, graphical photo notes, tags, and privacy settings. The update also includes support for reading ANSEL-formatted GEDCOM files from services like GENI.com.

MemoryMiner 1.8 is priced at US$30 and is available for download at the MemoryMiner Web site. The update is free for version 1 users.
