MaxUpgrades Updates MacConnect for 2008 Mac Pro

by , 10:50 AM EST, February 15th, 2008

MaxUpgrades announced the immediate availability of its MaxConnect optical bay hard disk expansion system for the 2008 Mac Pro on Friday. The drive storage system lets Mac Pro owners install up to eight disk drives in their computer.

The drive mounting system supports four SATA hard drives, fits in the optical bay area in the Mac Pro, and does not require an additional PCI host controller. The MaxConnect works with up to six SATA drives connected to the Mac Pro's built-in SATA ports, and two ATA/IDE drives connected to the ATA channel.

The MaxConnect ships with SATA cables, power cables, and is priced at US$129.
