Quark Unveils Dynamic Publishing Solution

by , 11:30 AM EST, March 5th, 2008

Quark introduced its new Quark Dynamic Publishing Solution system on Wednesday. The system includes several components designed to manage and repurpose content from several document formats including QuarkXPress, Adobe InDesign, and Microsoft Word.

Quark Dynamic Publishing Solution includes desktop-based tools for creating content, server-based tools for automating publishing workflows, and uses open standards for integration with enterprise-level content management systems.

Quark is working with DPS partners to bring solutions to market, and pricing will be based on project needs.

The last two offices I was in dropped Quark since there wasn't a free way to repurpose InDesign or Word. Offices are made up of Office users, the art department usually pays the price when something can't be repurposed quickly.

At a $1000.00 a license, it's hard to get Quark in the first place, let alone justify any new costs, especially when CS3 will do both of these things.

Accountants don't want to hear that they have to purchase as they go, they want one cost and they want you out of their office.
