by , 12:55 PM EST, March 5th, 2008

Fastforward Software announced BitClamp 1.5 on Wednesday. The new version ads file mimicking, the ability to hide encrypted data inside other files for optimal security.

BitClamp 1.5 also introduces a password generator and password log for easy and secure password creation.

Features of BitClap include: 448-bit Blowfish, AES 256-bit and serpent encryption, a drag and drop interface, a covert feature that disguises files by their file name, and Growl notification interface.

The BitClamp 1.5 update is free to registered users. BitClamp required Mac OS X 10.4 or later and is priced at US$19.95.
