Apple's Safari Windows Push Doesn't Recognize Windows 2000

Apple's Safari Windows Push Doesn't Recognize Windows 2000

by , 3:55 PM EDT, March 27th, 2008

Windows users who have the iTunes updater installed have been invited to install Safari as well. Unfortunately, the installer doesn't seem to know it's on Windows 2000, where Safari doesn't work, according to Adrian Kingsley-Hughes at ZDNet on Thursday.

The problem is that Safari has trouble, according to Mr Kingsley-Hughes installing in WIndows 2000 and isn't supported. If it can be coerced into installing, it won't run.

Screenshots showed the attempted installation.

No doubt, Apple will fix that just as fast, with an update to the updater, as they fixed the wording of the license that said Safari is [at first] only licensed for Apple-labelled computers.
