Outspring Introduces Outspring Mail

Outspring Introduces Outspring Mail

by , 11:25 AM EDT, March 31st, 2008

Outspring announced the immediate availability of Outspring Mail on Monday. The email application includes "adaptive intelligence" that the company claims offers better message and spam filtering.

Outspring Mail will adapt to a user's message sorting habits, and can automatically sort messages once it learns your habits. The company also claims that Outspring Mail can catch over 98 percent of incoming junk email.

The email client supports iCal and Address Book, uses the built-in Mac OS X spell checker, Growl notifications, Spotlight, POP and IMAP accounts, SSL, and more.

Outspring Mail is priced at US$95 and is available at the Outspring Web site.

Subject: $95?

Apple includes a pretty nice mail client, and these guys are charging $95?
Their site is temporarily down, so I can't see what their reasoning is. What is it that this offers to make it worth a price like that?

Looks like $95 is the retail price. Who the heck ever pays retail? There's an intro price on their website for $59.
