Apple will announce its Fiscal Year (FY) 2008 Second Quarter financial results on Wednesday at 5:00 PM EDT, 2:00 PM PDT.
The audio of the Conference Call will be broadcast via Quicktime at Apple Website. Listeners will need QuickTime 6 or 7.
Apple's CFO Peter Oppenheimer and COO Timothy Cook will announce the company's results for the quarter that ended in March, which is Apple's second accounting quarter. While the duo is typically low key and close to the vest, often interesting tidbits can be picked up as analysts ask questions about Apple's operations and finances.In recent days, analysts have been predicting that Apple would beat the guidance provided last quarter, but by how much is not known in detail. Often, when a company doesn't exceed expectations by as much as predicted or hoped, the stock will take a hit even if there was growth. Accordingly, some analysts have rolled back their expectations in recent days.
