PhoneValet Message Center 5.4 Improves Audio Compression

Parliant announced the immediate availability of PhoneValet Message Center 5.4 on Tuesday. The update for the Mac-based multi-line phone management system improved audio compression for better audio quality for iPhone and iPod touch users that rely on PhoneValet Anywhere.

The update also added the ability to screen or specially handle calls based on area code, and added new timed backup features to help prevent data loss.

PhoneValet Message Center is priced at US$169.95. The update is free for version 5 users.

I just updated to this new version and I really like the new match area code profile. I have just used it to block the area code and prefix of a notorious telemarketer who calls me from dozens if not hundreds of phone numbers; Yes I am on the do not call list.

When family and friends visit, or I can otherwise record their voice, I record them delivering a custom greeting. "Phone call from Mary." Then in Message Center I assign that recording to the callers profile.
