Apple Extends WWDC Early Registration Deadline

Apple Extends WWDC Early Registration Deadline

by , 10:30 AM EDT, April 30th, 2008

Apple announced on Wednesday that it is extending the early registration deadline for its World Wide Developer Conference to May 9. Conference attendees that purchase their pass before the early registration deadline passes can save US$300.

The annual conference for Mac OS X, and now OS X, developers will include three tracks covering the iPhone, the Mac, and IT. Sessions will address working with the new iPhone SDK, Leopard feature integration, deploying and managing network applications, and more.

WWDC is a once-a-year event where developers have an opportunity to learn more about developing for the Mac and iPhone, and can also meet Apple's own developers face to face. This year's WWDC also happens to fall in June -- the same month that Apple promised to release iPhone and iPod touch Software 2.0, and to launch App Store, the online store where developers can distribute their iPhone and iPod touch applications.

Apple will be hosting its World Wide Developer Conference on June 9 through June 13, 2008, at Moscone West in San Francisco. WWDC 08 tickets are priced at US$1,295 per person, or $1,694 with an ADC membership. Ticket five-packs cost $5,180 and $3,499, respectively.
