Apple Launches Corporate Gifting and Rewards Program

by , 4:15 PM EDT, May 20th, 2008

Apple has launched the Corporate Gifting and Rewards Program. The special program allows corporations to create quantity purchase promotion and awards packages consisting of iPods, iPod accessories, and iTunes gift certificates. Specialized corporate content can also be pre-loaded onto the iPods.

The subtitle of the program is: "Get Results. Give Apple."

"Whether they're gifts, promotional incentives, training tools, or rewards for a job well done, nothing can create excitement like an iPod, iTunes Gift Card, or iPod accessory. Call today and ask about our special pricing on volume orders," Apple said.

There is a 50 unit minimum purchase requirement for any iPod model. Special engraving can also be ordered.

Those who want to get involved with the program can contact Apple directly at 1-866-364-2167. There is also a link to submit a request in the URL above.

Why oh why has corporate America given up on the perfectly useful verb "give"?

You could get these done through biz consultants at Apple retail stores for a couple years. For example, last summer, I ordered iPod Nanos for everyone in my company engraved with important sayings such as "I love my company.", "Office supply theft hurts the bottom line.", and "Only losers call in sick.". We preloaded them with hypnosis podcasts which subliminally urge employees to avoid coffee breaks and work an extra hour after officially clocking out. Our gifting program has been a rousing success, with a reduced office supply budget, lower absenteeism, and higher profits. I couldn't be happier!
