Delicious Monster rolled out Delicious Library 2 on Tuesday. The new version of the personal cataloging application added the ability to sync information with your iPhone, and added one-click Web publishing to .Mac accounts.

The new version of the CD, DVD, book, video and game cataloger also Bonjour sharing for libraries, Smart Shelves that organize content based on user defined rules, additional categories and fields including tools and clothes, and new cover graphics. Version 2 also improved iSight scanning performance, added auto-pairing for Bluetooth barcode scanners, improved Transmit compatibility, and more.
While Delicious Library 2 is compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 or higher, but certain graphics-related features will not perform as intended until Mac OS X 10.5.3 is released. Delicious Library 1 is still available for Mac users that are using Mac OS X 10.3 or 10.4, and is now priced at $20.
Delicious Library 2 is priced at US$40 and is available for download at the Delicious Monster Web site. Upgrades from earlier versions cost $20.

Wherever I see announcement for this software, it states that the new version is compatible 10.3 (Panther), with Leopard needed for some (neat) graphical features.
The developer's web site says that version 2 ONLY works on Leopard. From their site:
"Don’t have Leopard yet? Well... Delicious Library 1 can still be purchased for users of Mac OS X 10.3 and 10.4, but we’d encourage you to upgrade when you can."
It is a wonderful application for those who like cataloguing their stuff. It is also an excellent show-off of Leopart, with tasteful use of core animation features. It is definitely worth two lunches ($40).

You are correct: DL2 does require Mac OS X 10.5 or higher. DL1 now has a lower price at $20, and since the upgrade price to DL2 is $20, users won't have to pay more than the regular DL2 price if they upgrade later. Smart move, Delicious Monster team.
