Burglary Attempt At NJ Apple Store Foiled

Burglary Attempt At NJ Apple Store Foiled

by , 3:55 PM EDT, June 17th, 2008

p> Four men used pry bars, sledgehammers and saws to break through the wall from an empty furniture store into the Apple store at Tice's Corner in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey on Monday, according to the Northern New Jersey News.

The break-in eventually set off alarms about 3 AM, and police captured three of the four men. The burglars are being held at the Bergen County Jail.

"This was obviously not a smash and grab," said Police Chief Anthony Jannicelli. "It was coordinated." he added that Apple merchandise was found packed in duffle bags and "ready to go."

A fourth man is still being sought.

The attempt was described as similar to a previous burglary at the Paramus New Jersey Jewelers Exchange in which US$800,000 worth of diamonds and other jewelry were stolen. No arrests were made in that burglary, and Mr. Jannicelli declined to say whether he thought there was a link.

Subject: Uuuhhh... Mac products getting rather valuable nowadays...

Wasn't it a while ago when computers running Windows were valuable and worthy targets of burglaries and thefts?

Gee... how times change....

Crimestarter:
Get a job at a local Apple Store, learn its schedules, learn who delivers the items and when and plan the robbery outside of Apple Store. Do not forget the escape routes and alternate routes as well as alternate fences.

Thank you. I'll be here all this week. The Lobster Thermidor is now $19.99 this week only! Thank you.
