Keystrokes 4.1 Goes Universal Binary, Improves Leopard Support

by , 9:45 AM EDT, June 25th, 2008

AssistiveWare announced the immediate availability of Keystrokes 4.1 on Wednesday. The update for the on-screen keyboard for Mac users with physical impairments is now Universal Binary, allowing it to run natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs, and improves support for Mac OS X 10.5.

Version 4.1 improved compatibility with Leopard's Spaces feature, and added automatic layout switching for Leopard users when changing the keyboard layout via the Mac OS X Input menu. The new version also includes the keyboard editing application LayoutKitchen 2.1.1.

Keystrokes 4.1 is priced at €249, or US$299, and is available at the AssistiveWare Web site. The update is free for anyone that purchased Keystrokes 3 in 2007 or 2008.
