iSync plugins 6.2 Adds Support for New Sony Ericsson, Nokia Handsets

nova media announced the immediate availability of iSync plugins 6.2 on Monday. The update for the iSync compatibility plug-ins added support for several new Sony Ericsson and Nokia cell phones.

New phones supported by the iSync plugins 6.2 include:
Nokia 6124 classic, E66, E71, N78

Sony Ericsson W380i, C702, C702c, C902, C902c, G502, G502c, K530c, K550im, K610i, K610im, K818i, K858i, T658i, V640i, W350i, W380i, W580i, W580im, W712a, W715a, W760c, W760i, W830i, W888i, W908c, W980, Z710a, Z715i, Z750a, Z750i, Z780i

iSync plugins adds iSync support to Mac OS X 10.4.9 or higher for cell phones that Apple does not natively support. It is priced at US$9.95 and is available for download at the nova media Web site.

I had a very different experience. I arrived at the Pleasanton, CA at 8:30 AM, was greeted promptly by an Apple store employee who told me that the line was already 2:30 hours long and that I could take a card for the 16GB black phone I wanted and return anytime during the same day before 6 PM to complete the purchase. I took the card and was on my way in 5 minutes.
Came back at 5:00 PM and immediately got a store rep who brought out the phone and my upgrade was completed in 5 minutes. Totally painless and worth every one of those 10 total minutes I spent in the store.

Mrs. Road's older sister is getting a 3G. She said something about it taking a couple weeks to get it registered. Hunh? Anyway, she's giving her old iPhone to Mrs. Road? she thought she was giving it to me, but Mrs. Road said something about wanting one so it's hers.
