Apple to Open Fort Worth Store on Aug 23

Apple is planning to open its University Park Village retail store in Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday, August 23 at 10:00AM. The University Park Village store will sport the usual amenities including a Genius Bar and One to One shopping, and will mark Apple's 15th location in the state.

Apple is planning a week long series of events to celebrate the Grand Opening, including free training events and seminars, and will give away Apple T-shirts to the first 1,000 visitors.

Another Apple Store opened in San Diego last Saturday. Well it is in Carlsbad which is north of San Diego, but certainly in the metro area.

I went up there in the afternoon and the place was busy. It is in one of those malls that are trying to be like a main street with parking in front of the shops as well as periphery parking; The San Diego area Otay Ranch Apple Store in Chula Vista is like that.

I chatted with one of the store staff and he let slip that another Apple Store will open at the North County Fair Mall in Escondido. However, he didn't have a date for the store opening. I was up shopping up there a few weeks ago and there were some empty shops, maybe the store will open before the Christmas shopping season. This will give us five Apple Stores in the San Diego Area.
