MacUpdate Springs Back-to-school App Bundle

MacUpdate announced its latest application promotion bundle on Wednesday geared towards students and educators. The Back-to-school bundle includes seven applications for the academic world, and three additional apps that will become available as the promotion progresses.

The software pack includes Bookends, Periscope, Mellel, DEVONagent, Norrkross Movie, Alarm Clock Pro and HookUp all for US$49. The bundle is valued at $330, and jumps up to $615 when the additional three apps -- MacJournal, Contactizer Pro and LightZone -- are added in as more bundles are sold.

The MacUpdate back-to-school promo app bundle is available through September 10 at the MacUpdate software promo Web site.

Most of the software in the MacUpdate Back-to-school App Bundle is redundant to the features in iLife, iWork and/or can't compare to free offerings like NeoOffice or OpenOffice.

Whats's the point?
