Are any printers using Goe ink? There are none that I'm aware of. Not a lot of major (or minor) printers use spot color a lot anymore. Most do CMYK printing. Printing in CMYK means that a lot of PMS and Goe colors can't be matched. I don't see a lot of printers adopting this system as long as they are doing 4-color process. IMO printers might buy a color book or two, but it will be many years before there is any significant adoption by any printing companies.

It isn't the printers which drive usage of colour libraries, it's their customers. If printers are presented with files which use Goe libraries, most will either adapt or perish.

Spot colour is still in heavy use, though digital printing is driving costs down and forcing the use of CMYK for longer run reprints of previously digital jobs.

The Goe color libraries will be included in all major versions of DTP software. Open PS or AI and select your swatch library, you'll find over 30 color libraries already in there.
Customers will choose Goe colors in their designs and they will more than likely be reproduced in CMYK - either on a conventional press or digitally (inkjet or laser).

Are you saying that jobs printed digitally use spot color? That is not the case. Inkjets and lasers use CMYK.

In the end printers will buy a new fan book, the Goe libraries will come with all versions of every DTP software, and us printers will have another tool in our arsenal.

But I still haven't heard of anyone using Goe ink.
