VMware Fusion 2 Adds Leopard Server Support, More

VMware announced the immediate availability of VMware Fusion 2 on Tuesday. The new version of the virtual computer environment application added support for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Server, and also improved Unity 2.0 support.

Version 2 offers support for Unity 2.0 application sharing, link handling, mirrored folders, driverless printing, true multiple display support, and custom keyboard mapping.

It also includes DirectX 9.0c with Shader Model 2 3D graphics support, 1080p HD video playback, 4-way vSMP support, and improved Linux support. Version 2 takes automated Windows snapshots, supports Leopard's Cover Flow and Quick Look features, and includes a 12 month McAfee VirusScan Plus subscription.

VMware Fusion 2 is priced at US$79.99, and the update is free for version 1 users.
