John Hodgman Hosts SPAMasterpiece Theater

by , 5:15 PM EDT, October 10th, 2008

On Boing Boing tv, John Hodgman, famous and known to Apple customers for his Apple ads with Justin Long, continues his SPAMasterpiece Theater series, part II, featuring "true tale[s] of romance, adventure, infamy, and low-cost prescription drugs, all culled from the reams of actual, unsolicited emails, received here by us and people like you -- what we call SPAM."

Today's installment, according to Boing Boing, has Barrister Abbey and Diana Kahn in "Wuthering Wire Transfers", described as "a tempting tale of financial transactions and naked lust that requires your soonest response."

The first episode from October 2 is also available at the link above.

That was pathetic.

Pretty lame. So was Hodgeman's book, if you ask me.

I rather liked it.

It was epithetic, not pathetic.

There's a curious thing about the modern age, LF, in which any attempt at entertainment must be bigger than Ben Hur and better than Iron Man to garner some kind of respect as entertainment.

Sure, that was 3:52 I'll never get back but it was some harmless fun that cast a refreshing light on the idiocy of both spammers and their victims.

A moment sewn in repose will harvest a lifetime of purposeful reflection.

Thankyou, John Hodgman. Nice to see you doing something other than an Apple ad.

Isn't it odd how the anonymous cowards just spout how much it is crap, then run away?

Look, if you're going to say that it is crap, at least make some attempt to justify it.

If you keep up with this line of non-argument, you will be expunged.

Of course we all have different tastes in humor. Maybe John Hodgeman could team up with Larry the Cable Guy and reach more audiences.
