Apple Hires Yale Dean for Apple University

Apple is apparently prepping to launch a new service called Apple University, and the company has hired Yale's business school dean, Joel Podolny, to head up the project. Mr. Podolny will be taking on the roll of vice president and dean of Apple University, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The Cupertino-based company isn't saying what Apple University is, but it won't likely come to life until sometime next year since Mr. Podolny isn't scheduled to start his new job with Apple until early 2009.
This won't be the first company Steve Jobs has been involved with that started a "University" program. Pixar Animation Studios, the company Mr. Jobs sold to Disney, offers its own Pixar University classes for new and experienced animators. So far, Apple hasn't said whether or not it plans on offering its own training classes through Apple University.
