by , 7:50 AM EST, November 5th, 2008

Apple released Digital Camera Compatibility Update 2.3 late on Tuesday. The update added Nikon D90 and Coolpix P6000 compatibility to Aperture 2 and iPhoto '08.

The update also added Canon EOS 50D and Sonly DSLR-A900 compatibility to the image editing and management applications, addressed issues with other cameras, and improved overall stability.

Digital Camera Compatibility Update 2.3 requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or higher and is available via the Software Update application, or as a downloadable installer at the Apple Support Web site.
