Netflix Launches HD Streaming

Netflix Launches HD Streaming

by , 2:55 PM EST, November 6th, 2008

Netflix customers who have an Intel-based Macintosh can now receive streamed SD movies as part of the Netflix beta test program. In an iPod Observer special report, the Netflix move into high definition video via the Internet is examined.

Subject: Horrible selection

I love Netflix to the home, but their Watch Instantly selection is horrible. It is a bunch of bad and unknown movies that if you watch cable or satellite on a Saturday, you can find. Until they open their entire library, this is a back page announcement!

Recently their instant viewing selection has grown quite a bit. Granted, very few recent movies, but I still find a lot to watch, and they're getting better movies all the time. They've teemed with Starz, and are starting to get a lot of, if not 'good', at least 'enjoyable' movies.

No surround sound, no thanks.

I'll stick with Apple TV/iTunes Store.
