CNet announced Monday a new weekly video podcast called The Apple Byte. The media outlet billed the show as being, "devoted to consumers passionate about all things Apple," and said it would be hosted by CNet editor Brian Tong. The podcast will feature news, tips, and opinions.
"Apple has a huge fan community that is savvy and wants to be 'in the know' about the latest product offerings, rumors, and software updates," Mark Larkin said in a statement. Mr. Larkin is vice president of programming at CBS Interactive, CNet's parent company.
He added, "The Apple Byte gives a complete look at everything from the good to the bad, so that consumers are getting the most trusted and unbiased information. CNET continues to produce original online programming for the web that is newsworthy and entertaining for consumers who want to get the most use out of their tech products."
The show will be hosted on CNet TV, the company's portal for its video content.
