Mac Gaming News - Knowledge Adventure, Unity Team Up for Kid-Focused 3D Virtual World

by , 5:00 PM EST, November 24th, 2008

Knowledge Adventure on Monday announced that it will use Unity Technology's game engine to develop a 3D virtual world aimed at children between the ages of 3 to 10. Featuring the company's flagship JumpStart and Math Blaster brands, it will be aimed at the iPhone and iPod touch, Mac, Wii, Wii Ware, and web browser platforms.

Knowledge Adventure already features 3D adventure-based learning games through its JumpStart.com web site, but this will be a new endeavor allowing children to access educational games whether at home or on the go. Neither company announced when the 3D world will be available, other than "this holiday season."
