TMO Contest - TMO Announces Macworld Expo Pass Winners

Your Inner Bard contest is closed, and we have picked our two winning haiku entries. Congratulations to Doug Grinbergs and Carrie Skinfill -- their entries won them passes to Macworld Expo 2009 in January.

Our Power Tools Conference pass winner was Doug Grinbergs and his epic haiku. Here is Doug's winning entry:
off to the airport
ridiculously early
Denver to San Fran

buy a MUNI pass
a thirty-minute BART ride
Market and Powell

homeless folks abound
cable car tourists in line
drop stuff at hotel

off to Moscone
another Macworld Expo!
Wednesday - just past noon

stop to get my badge
with many other Mac fans
down the stairs we go

hustle and bustle
thousands of Mac faithful here
seems overwhelming

bright lights everywhere
seems like noise competition
put in earplugs now?

North Hall and South Hall
underground tunnel walking
hey, some folks from home!

short walk to Whole Foods
comfort foods and healthy drinks
blood sugar restored

walk back to the halls
take some pics along the way
some Flickr-worthy?

daylight break was good
back to artificial light
and Moscone air

aisles and aisles of booths
expo overload for some
somehow, I'll survive

rather than wing it
time to get out the show guide
visit UG lounge

interesting talk
good use of limited time

mobs at Apple booths now less
cool new Mac goodies!

always makes me smile

forty-five minutes
oh, it's good to be back home

The reader response to the contest was amazing, every entry was worthy of an award, and we didn't feel right sending anyone away empty handed -- so we aren't: Every contest entrant that's attending Macworld Expo will receive two tickets to TMO's Cirque du Mac 6.0 party.
