Mac Gaming News - Armado 1.2 Adds Gamepad Support

Tricky Software announced the immediate availability of Armado 1.2 on Friday. Armado is a game where players take on the roll of Armado the armadillo to save his land from invading army ants. The updated version lets you use a mouse as an input device, and the Universal Binary version adds support for gamepads.

Armado 1.2 is available for download at the Tricky Software Web site, and is priced at US$19.95. The update is free for registered users.

I bought Armado, but haven't gotten very far with it. Fans of games like Mario Brothers (am I showing my age? <G>) will probably like it. The graphics and effects are quite nice. It does require learning the interaction of the controls and timing. The controls are simple but tricky to use on the keyboard. The option of using a game pad will probably make it easier. It's definitely a game to try out.
